NewPro TEX 210 NA Permanent Textile Impregnation
Product Properties
Organic coating material based on chemical nanotechnology. The material forms a permanent
transparent and ultra thin coating on textiles and makes them water-, oil- and dirt-proof.
Suitable substrates: PES, PES/cotton, paper.
Material base: Aqueous polymer emulsion.
Packaging size: By arrangement.
Storage: At least 24 months in original containers at room temperature.
Keep from freezing and temperatures above 50°C.
Application process: Foulard application, dipping, spraying.
Colour: Opaque.
Viscosity: Not specified.
Consumption: Ca. 250 ml per m², depending on the textile.
Application
Preparing the substrates: Free from dust, soiling and additives like finishes and glazes.
Mixing: NewProTEX 210 is a ready to use product, if necessary use catalyst to adjust to pH 4 – 5.
Application: Application by Foulard process, foam process, or spraying.
Application temperatures: Room temperature.
Setting: Heat treatment at approx.150 °C for approx. 3 minutes or at 170 to 180 °C for 40 to 50 seconds.
Be aware, that an exhaust system and sufficient ventilation is required!
Cleaning of coating set-up: Use benzene for cleaning if necessary.
Touching up and re-coating
Touching up: Due to wear (e.g. by washing-machines) the effect of impregnation can decrease, but can be regained by ironing or hot drying in a dryer. Requirements for re-coating must be fixed depending on the textile.
Cleaning of coated substrates: Wash as usual.
Protective measures.
While applying NewProTEX 210 the signs and information on the label and the security and safety procedures recommended in the Material Safety Data Sheet should be considered, as well as the instructions of the respective Employers Liability Insurance Association for the prevention of accidents.
Waste management
Has to be deposited according to requirements of the local authorities.
