Leather cleaning and leather care for professionals - first clean, then care
Take care of your leather with our products. Leather can only retain its fascination, its wonderfully soft feel and its natural beauty in the long term with regular and proper care. Leather needs additional protection to prevent it from becoming prematurely dirty, drying out or losing its colour. Therefore, your leather needs regular (at least every six months) thorough cleaning and care.
Professional tip: Clean first, then maintain!
First comes the thorough cleaning of the leather. Because only when the pores of the leather skin are free of dirt particles can the care ingredients be absorbed deep into the leather. Especially moisture and re-fattening should nourish the leather from the inside, then it is properly protected against drying out and premature soiling.
Tips for leather care:
- Leather should be thoroughly cleaned and cared for regularly (recommendation: at least every six months). Please always treat leather with suitable, professional care products (we recommend our NewPro leather cleaning and leather care products), never with cleaning agents containing solvents.
- Leather needs moisture, so wipe regularly (slightly) damp. After cleaning, leather absolutely needs moisturizing care in order not to become brittle. Therefore, never treat leather with pure fat or wax only.
- Each type of leather requires individually coordinated care products, so make sure you choose the right one.
- Always test the application in advance on a concealed area. Caution is especially important with natural leather!
- For post-cleaning, it is best to use distilled water to avoid lime scale edges.
- Leather should be protected from direct sunlight. Otherwise, this may result in drying out or fading. If it cannot be avoided, treat the leather more often with the appropriate care lotion with sun protection factor.
- Important with stains: react immediately! In case of drink stains, for example, gently absorb the liquid with a paper towel (e.g. kitchen roll). Clean with the appropriate NewPro Leather Cleaner CC. Never work or rub with pressure, otherwise the stain will penetrate directly into the leather.
